Accommodation at Motswiri Lodge Ghanzi

Features of Motswiri Lodge:

During the Winter months pans dry up, leaving just a small puddle for the animals to drink from. However in a good rainy season, the pans can fill up completely and maintain their water for almost 12-months.
Motswiri accommodates a maximum of 8 people in 4 double walk-in luxury safari tents. The relaxed, yet luxurious, walk-in tents tastefully blend into this idyllic, wilderness environment; each with its own porch overlooking the pan.

All accommodation at Motswiri Lodge is en suite. All of the tents have showers and private toilets with washbasin complete with solar powered hot and cold water.

If you are a keen bird watcher, then your porch is the perfect place to start your birding safari; water is scarce in the Kalahari and the birdlife tends to flock to the waterholes.

Each safari tent has two single beds, decked out for those cold winter nights with a goose-down duvet. You will be amazed at how cold it gets in the winter months and how important those warm duvets are to your stay.

The tents have windows on 3 sides, which can either be covered or left open.
Left open, it allows the evening breeze to drift over your bed and offers you the opportunity to see any animals that come wandering down to the waterhole for an evening / early morning drink. On the other hand you could close your blinds and give yourself complete privacy.

Camping:

Ideal for self drive clients our campsite incorporates a spick and span ablution block with hot and cold water and is situated in a beautiful part of the bush frequented by most of our raptor species. Firewood is supplied and meals are available if you so wish, so all you have to do is pitch your tent and enjoy the serenity of Kanana Wilderness

Some ideas of what to do at Motswiri Lodge
Each tent has a porch with a table and chairs, where you can sit quietly and watch the game come down to drink. The main lodge is a large spacious area, where you can either enjoy a few light refreshments at our bar or relax in the comfort of our lounge; where there is a small library of books about the area and wildlife. These books are for your use whilst you are with us.
