On the western side of the riverfront, Muchenje Safari Lodge sits high on the escarpment overlooking the Chobe. It's outside the national park, in the Chobe Forest Reserve, 50km west of Kasane - and hence away from the busiest section of the park.

Accommodation at Muchenje Safari Lodge
Of the 11 Safari rooms, 1 is a family unit, and accommodates 4 guests. There is a double bed and full bathroom downstairs, and a loft area with 2 single beds upstairs. This unit also works well for a small group of friends travelling together. The bathroom is a good size with a shower, toilet and his/ hers hand-basins. Each Safari Suite has a ceiling fan, wardrobe, electric safe and writing table. You also have a private, shaded veranda, from which to take in the sights and sounds.
Muchenje Safari Lodge Amenities and Facilities
The main Lodge area is extensive, and has been built to allow for excellent vistas, comfort and charm. Guests can relax in its many quiet areas; from the viewing platforms and decks, the dining area and bar. Retail therapy is also at hand, at the curio shop. Close by is the swimming pool, complete with deck and more excellent views.
What To Do at Muchenje Safari Lodge
Activities here include half- and full-day 4 Wheel Drive safaris in the park; guided walks and night drives in the forest reserve; boat cruises on the Chobe and visits to the nearby Muchenje village.
