What To Do at Camp Okavango

The Okavango Delta is arguably the finest wilderness wetland in the world; renowned as a haven for rare species such as the elusive sitatunga antelope and the Pel's fishing owl. The Delta is also a bird-watchers paradise. Camp Okavango is the ideal base from which to discover the secrets of this incredible wetland ecosystem.

All game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced resident naturalist guides and include exploring the Okavango in 4x4 safari vehicles, by mokoro and river craft on wildlife and bird-watching expeditions, and on foot. Guided nature walks on the islands of the Delta afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness. Fishing for the fighting Tiger Fish, African Pike and Bream (Tilapia) is excellent at most times of the year.
