The distance from here to Chobe National Park is 100 km, to the Vic Falls 170 km and to the Hwange Park only 42 km. The name of our lodge was born out of an idea that we want to offer to small group of guests, an insightful view of Africa, the most beautiful country in this world, combined with a special service.

, which you can use at all times, will keep you cool in the heat of Africa. You can recover from your adventure tours on comfortable deck chairs and with a cool drink.

There is an excellent cook:

Apart from all the other continental and traditional dishes the chef will spoil you with fresh Chobe Bream and juicy man size Botswana steaks cooked to perfection.
You will find the home cooked cuisine excellent and excitingly varied. Since we usually go on an early game drive, we start the day with just tea/coffee and scones and then have a substantial breakfast on our return. For lunch we are content with a tasty snack, and look foreword to dinner the culinary highlight of the day

A large number of high quality beef is raised in Botswana. Lamb, mutton and chicken and other meats are also plentiful. Beef is the most popular meat, followed by goat meat. River fish are also available.
You will try : Potjiekos - a taste of Africa

In South Africa, potjiekos , literally translated "small pot food", is a stew prepared outdoors in a traditional round, cast iron, three-legged pot (the potjie) which is found in the homes and villages of people throughout southern Africa. The pot is heated efficiently using small amounts of wood, charcoal or if fuel is scarce, twisted grass or even dried animal dung.

Bush walk with our guide
Camp out under the Botswana sky

Game Viewing:

It might seem like a bit of a bland statement to say that the number one experience in Botswana is game-viewing, but that really is the case. Unlike other countries where a good safari is often more of a combination of travel, landscape, people and wildlife, here in Botswana the other three elements are virtually absent and the focus is very much on the flora and fauna. For people whose safari ambition is heavily focused on game-viewing, then Botswana has to be top of the list.

Boating, Canoeing and Mokoro:

In some areas, boating is one of the activities on offer. You can travel out into the surrounding areas by boat looking for wild game, birds and at the general scenery. You can even fish in certain areas. In Botswana you will have the opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta by mokoro (traditional dugout canoes). There is no better way to relax in the wilderness than a mokoro trip through the Okavango Delta .

Bird Watching:

Botswana is a particularly rewarding birding destination. Hot spots here include the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. Over 450 bird species have been recorded in the area, and in the vicinity of the Chobe and Linyanti rivers visitors can watch saddle-billed storks, long-toed plovers, pink-backed pelicans, African skimmers, Bradfield's hornbills and the jewel-like carmine bee-eaters. Heuglin's robin is a delight to hear in the early morning.
