The main boma of wood and thatch houses the lounge, dining room and bar area. Mobile overnight and day trip safaris are offered into the Game Reserve. Activities on offer include game drives, quad bike safari and an unforgettable experience with the local Bushmen people. The setting of Haina Kalahari Lodge is classically African, relaxed and informal. The Main Boma consists of a lounge, dining room and bar area decorated in wood and thatch.

A swimming pool, sun deck, well-appointed bar and an expansive boma eating area are among the facilities available to visitors. The sundeck is a popular spot for social activities and for exchanging accounts of the various sightings of birds and animals seen during the day. The Lodge accommodates up to 20 guests in tented accommodation which are all private with their own decks.

Accommodation
The Lodge has 6 Standard Tents that consists of a bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, and three Luxury Tents with thatch roofs, large decks and full bathrooms. All units are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme and reflect the bush area.

We also have a Family Tent, built around the trees with one King Size bed and 2 3/4 beds.

Getting There
We are in the heart of the Kalahari, bordering the Central Kalahari Game Reserve; about 3 hours drive from Deception Valley. The nearest village is Rakops, about 1hour 45 minute drive to the east and the most popular shopping facilities are at Maun, about 2 hours 30 minutes drive further north.For self drives it is recommended that you make use of a four-by-four vehicle. For the more fainthearted who want to visit, Haina Kalahari Lodge offers a licensed public airstrip (S20,57 E 023,40), Licensed to a maximum of 5700KG, or fly in with accredited tour operators or air charters.

LANDING STRIP INFORMATION Haina Kalahari Lodge airstrip is licensed for public use for aircraft up to 5700 kg. Sand & Clay surface, 1300m long, 04/22 directions. The co-ordinates are S20, 57 E 023, 40 it is unfenced and animals could be on the runway.
