Where the red dunes and scrub fade into infinity and
herds of gemsbok, springbok, eland and blue wildebeest follow the seasons,
where imposing camel thorn trees provide shade for huge black-mane lions
and vantage points for leopard and many raptors... this is the Kgalagadi
Transfrontier National Park.
Red sand dunes, sparse vegetation and the dry riverbeds of the Nossob
and Auob show antelope and predator species off to spectacualr advantage
and provide excellent photographic opportunities. Kgalagadi is also a
haven for birders, especially those interested in birds of prey.
On the South African side of the park there are three well equipped and
fenced camps providing a variety of accommodation, however the accommodation
on the Botswanan side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is much more
limited with only bush camping available (bring all everything you may

The Rooiputs private concession
area is located within the captivating Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
on the Botswana side, 25 kilometres north of Two Rivers. Situated
off the predator-rich Nossob valley, the lodge is perched along
a mature red sand dune, overlooking a busy waterhole.

Phirima Game Ranch is an unspoiled
piece of Africa nestled in the heart of the Kgalagadi, or Kalahari,
situated in Botswana. Phirima is the Tswana word for “the
place where the sun sets”, which is an accurate description
of the spectacular sunsets that we experience in this part of the
Kalahari.

Polentswa is located 222 kilometres
from Two Rivers along the predator rich Nossob Valley on the Botswana
side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The camp is nestled amongst
tall trees and dwarf scrubs overlooking the Polentswa Pan with its
waterhole and exciting game.

This popular rest camp is situated
on the banks of the Auob River on the western boundary of the Park
bordering Namibia and is surrounded by thorny Kalahari dune bushveld.
The camp has a reception, swimming pool, shop and fuel facilities.
A generator provides electricity for 18 hrs per day and there is
no telephone or cellphone reception. Mata-Mata is 2,5 hrs drive
from Twee Rivieren. Accommodation options include chalets, family
chalets, and camp sites.

Nossob Rest Camp is situated within
the dry riverbed of the Nossob surrounded by tree savannah and is
famous for spectacular predator sightings. The camp has a reception,
swimming pool, predator information centre, shop and fuel facilities.
A generator provides electricity for 18 hrs per day. No phone reception
is available at the camp. Nossob is 3,5 hrs drive from Twee Rivieren. |

arriving late at the Kgalagadi park. Water is available at this

Valley Rooiputs has no facilities so campers shoudl bring everything
they may need with them and be prepared to be completely self-sufficient
(don't forget to bring your own water!). The camp has 6 individual
